In order for as much of our waste as possible to be recycled, either as material or as energy, it is important that it is sorted. Source sorting involves sorting the waste where it occurs, i.e. at home. This is the most advantageous and effective way of utilizing things that can no longer be used. If we fail to sort the waste, it becomes much more difficult and expensive, sometimes even impossible, to recycle the waste.
In Ekorosk’s area, households have their own waste bins for bio-waste and energy waste in their yards. You can bring batteries, packaging of glass and metal and paper to the eco-point. Some eco-points also have collection containers for cardboard and plastic packaging. You can bring larger amounts of waste and hazardous waste to the recycling station.
